Tainan Marmalade Maker Lin Wei-Xun Wins Gold Medal At UK’s World’s Original Marmalade Awards & Festival, Tainan Mayor Hopes The Win Will Promote Tainan’s Produce To The World

Tainan young farmer Lin Wei-Xun won the Gold Medal at the UK’s World’s Original Marmalade Awards & Festival with his unique homemade Kumquat Marmalade with Black Tea and Whiskey. Beating thousands of entries, Lin’s product won first prize in the Alcoholic Ingredient Category at this “Oscar Awards of the Marmalade Circle” and also introduced Tainan’s produce to the world.

 

Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-che congratulated Lin Wei-Xun and thanked him for promoting Tainan’s quality produce to the world by participating in the event. Hopefully, more people around the world will know about and enjoy Tainan’s produce with this win.

 

Lin Wei-Xun is one of the young farmers supported by the Agriculture Bureau. He has been developing different types of marmalades with locally grown fruits and produce for the past ten years. Lin actively takes part in international marmalade competitions to increase brand visibility and has won many awards. In addition to the Gold medal he won this year, he is also the Silver Medalist at the UK’s World’s Original Marmalade Awards & Festival and the Bronze Medalist at Japan’s World’s Original Marmalade Awards & Festival in 2022.
