On August 3, Tainan City Government announced the footprints of a newly confirmed case (Case #15816) who is a male in his twenties from New Taipei City. He had a contact history with a confirmed case while staying in northern Taiwan and then was asked to undertake home isolation yet without any symptoms. With the assistance of the Public Health Bureau, he was referred to a hospital for specimen collection and testing and was confirmed as a COVID-19 case on August 1. His family members (undertaking home isolation) and a quarantine taxi driver who drove him to a hospital all tested negative for COVID-19.
