President Tsai Ing-wen Gives Out Tainan “Hero Noodles” to Honor Central Epidemic Prevention Center Staff. Tainan Mayor: Quality Tainan Noodles for Heroes!

President Tsai Ing-wen visited Taiwan Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on May 19 to show her gratitude and support to the staff. During the visit, the President also gave out 100 Tainan Noodles sets on behalf of local farmers to the CDC employees. Dubbing the sets as “hero noodles” fit for national heroes, President Tsai wished CDC great success on future epidemic prevention efforts.

The noodle set gifts were suggested and prepared by Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che. The Mayor mentioned that since the President nicknamed the Tainan Noodles "hero noodles" and gifted them to Taiwan’s epidemic prevention heroes, these noodle sets suddenly became extremely popular in online stores. The noodle sets, which include noodles produced by different Farmers' Associations, were originally assembled to promote Tainan City and its products and produce.

Huang pointed out that the Tainan Noodle set includes a variety of items, such as Shanhua sesame dry noodles (which is authenticated by President Tsai Ing-wen herself) and other noodle products made with different local produce. He hoped that the CDC personnel can enjoy a tasty and nutritious meal and take care of themselves so that they can continue to safeguard their families and public health.

Thanks to the government's efforts, the public can easily find high-quality Tainan produce and products on different commercial platforms. The Tainan Noodle set is available on the Tainan Agricultural Products Marketing Co. website and several brick and mortar stores, including online and offline Carrefour stores.
