The 2023 Tainan is Young Christmas and New Year & Eve Festivities hosted by the Tainan City Government will be held for five consecutive weekends starting from Dec. 3. Citizens are invited to welcome the New Year with three family events and three concerts.
Mayor Huang Wei-che expressed that the public can look forward to exciting performances from local and international popular singers at the New Year & Eve Festivities. Since the New Year’s holiday has three days, Huang reminded fans to book accommodations and transportation tickets as soon as possible so that they can enjoy an exciting and fun holiday in Tainan.
The Tainan City Government stressed that additional personnel and resources will be deployed at the event venues this year for public safety. Extra volunteer fire brigade and police forces will be stationed onsite; and if the crowds become too dense, emergency responding plans and supporting medical assistance will be activated. The city government also urges individuals who wish to attend the events to find out where the medical and service booths are on the official website beforehand, and keep their face masks on and maintain a safe distance between each other when at the venues. Participants are asked not to push or elbow others to avoid getting injured.
