Descriptions of Six Newly Confirmed Cases In Tainan City: Case #26523, 26524, 26525, 26526, 26527, 26782

On Apr. 9, Tainan City Government announced 6 newly confirmed cases. Case #26523 and #26524 both live in Guiren District and have received 3 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. On Apr. 2, they visited Pingtung’s Taiwan Music Festival.

 

Case #26523 is a female in her twenties. On Apr. 5, she experienced a runny nose and sore throat. On Apr. 6, she tested positive by home-test kit; since her symptoms continued, she visited a hospital for specimen collection and was confirmed as a COVID-19 case with a Ct value of 16.1 on Apr. 7.

 

Case #26524 is a male in his twenties. On Apr. 6, he started to have a fever and runny nose. On Apr. 7, he visited a hospital for specimen collection and was confirmed as a COVID-19 case with a Ct value of 33.15.

 

Case #26525, 26526 and 26527 all had travel history to Hualien and all live in Guiren District. On Apr. 7, they were transferred to a hospital for specimen collection and were confirmed as COVID-19 cases since their family members are confirmed as COVID-19 cases.

 

Case #26525 is a female in her thirties who showed no symptoms. She had received 3 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine; her Ct value is 23.12.

 

Case #26526 is a female in her thirties who had received 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. On Apr. 7, she experienced a sore throat; her Ct value is 11.2.

 

Case #26527 is a female in her twenties who had received 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. On Apr. 6, she experienced body fatigue; her Ct value is 13.9.

 

Case #26782 is a female in her thirties living in North District who hasn’t received any COVID-19 vaccine. On Apr. 5,she contacted with Kaohsiung’s Case #25872. On Apr. 8, she he started to have a fever and sore throat. She tested positive by the rapid test in a clinic and was then transferred to a hospital for specimen collection and was confirmed as COVID-19 case with a Ct value of 13.2.

 

Footprints of the above-mentioned cases were listed in the attachment. The city government urges citizens who had visited the same place as these cases did to acquire a COVID-19 home-test kit with the ID card from any of 37 district health stations in Tainan City on Apr. 9 and Apr. 10 (14:00-17:00); please be sure to report the test result within 24 hours after acquisition.
