On Jan. 21, Tainan City Government announced the footprints of a confirmed case from Kaohsiung City. Case #18212, a male in his twenties, started to experience a cough on Jan. 17. He attended a wedding banquet in Anping District, Tainan City on Jan. 16, where he did not have a toast but did go to its restroom.
Case #18212’s footprint is listed as the appendix. His contacts and restaurant staff had all been identified and their testing samples had been collected; location that the case visited had been cleaned and disinfected. The city government urges citizens who had visited this restaurant at 11:00-15:00 of Jan. 16 to get tested at Songbao Elderly Center in South District at 15:00-17:00 of Jan. 21 and 09:00-11:00 of Jan. 22.
