Descriptions of eight newly confirmed cases in Tainan (2021/06/27)

On June 27, Tainan City Government announced a family cluster in Annan District with eight confirmed cases.

Case #14683, a male in his sixties, is the index case of this cluster. He had experienced symptoms such as fever, bone aching, dizziness and cough since June 21. He visited a clinic and was referred to a hospital for specimen collection and testing as his symptoms were not improved. He was confirmed as a COVID-19 case on June 26. Case # 14715 is the wife of Case # 14683. Since June 22, she started to suffer from symptoms and then visited a clinic as well. She was tested positive on June 26 since her husband was confirmed as a case.

As the second daughter of the index case, Case #14716 lives with her parents. She had experienced symptoms and her three children were confirmed as COVID-19 cases: a son (Case # 14717; less than 10 years old) has no symptoms while two daughters (Case # 14714 and # 14718; both in their teens) have symptoms.

Case #14735 is the third daughter of the index case. She doesn’t live with her parents and she had visited a clinic for many times because her symptoms such as sore throat and fatigue appeared since June 10. However, it was not until her parents had tested positive that she went to a hospital for specimen collection. She and her daughter who has no symptoms (Case # 16736; less than ten years old) were both confirmed as COVID-19 cases.

Footprints of the above-mentioned cases are listed as below. Locations where they visited had been cleaned and disinfected.
