Disclosure Guidelines of COVID-19 Trace Information in Tainan City (2021/5/31)

Many citizens are concerned about whether their activities overlap with the those of COVID-19 confirmed cases. To safeguard the health and safety of citizens and to implement pandemic prevention and control, the Tainan City Government has formulated the following trace information disclosure guidelines based on the principles announced by the CECC regarding COVID-19 confirmed cases:

  1. The main principle in guiding trace information disclosure is whether there is “a clear need to prevent and control the pandemic” at that particular site. We also factor in the length of time that the confirmed case stayed at the site, the mask-wearing practice of both the confirmed case and his/her contacts, and whether there are individuals at that site with whom the confirmed case was in close contact.
  2. Sites that the Government Considers to Disclose:
    1. Public, open sites where everyone can enter and where people can be in contact with non-specific contacts: Such as department stores, markets and shops, and long-distance transportation vehicles.
    2. Open venues, where everyone can enter, but with specific contacts: Such as restaurants and gyms.
  3. Sites that the Government Does Not Disclose:
  1. Private sites where only particular people can enter and with specific contacts: Such as households and private gathering venues.
  2. Semi-open sites where particular people can enter and with specific contacts: Such as workplace, schools, hospitals, clinics and hotels.
