Tainan City’s Disease Prevention Measures for Dinning and Environmental Protection (2021/05/24)

Tainan City Government announced to ban all indoor dining at restaurants and food stalls in Tainan City since May 24. The city government asked for citizens’ understanding and cooperation. Meanwhile, in order to reduce impacts of profits plunging across the above-mentioned industries, the city government will also help dinning business to develop an online platform for facilitating pick-up and delivery services.

Ever since the COVID-19 Alert raised to Level 3 on May 19, Tainan City’s Bureau of Environmental Protection has promptly and comprehensively implemented environmental sanitation and disinfection across the city. Until May 23, citizens’ hotspots such as public transportation stations, public agencies and schools, markets, temples, and all footprints of confirmed cases have been sanitized and disinfected for the first round.

In terms of personal waste during home isolation/quarantine, the Bureau of Environmental Protection will arrange a special garbage truck to collect the waste. Please call the hotline (06-2686610) if you need such a service. The bureau also reminds citizens to wear a face mask during garbage disposal. The bureau’s staff will inspect the implementation on site and those who refuse to abide by the rule after receiving a warning will face a fine from NT$3,000 to NT$15,000.
