On May 19, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) raised the COVID-19 Alert to Level 3 across whole Taiwan. All citizens are required to follow below measures:
- In addition to shutting down leisure and entertainment venues, all spectator and audience facilities, including exhibitions, movie screening venues (cinemas and theaters), auditoriums, gymnasiums, activity centers, exhibition and performance venues (music halls, performance halls, museums, galleries, exhibition halls, historical relic museums, and memorial halls), indoor ice rinks, indoor swimming pools, amusement parks, playground and other similar venues; educational facilities including community colleges, senior learning centers, training centers, study centers, social educational institutions (social education halls, science education halls and libraries), elder dining centers and other similar venues.
- Wear masks outdoor at all times; violators will face penalty.
- Avoid unnecessary movement, activities and gatherings.
- Suspend all family or social gatherings involving over 5 people indoors or 10 people outdoors (this restriction does not apply to family members who live together).
- Practice self-health monitoring; if any suspected symptoms should go to the doctor.
- Conduct the flow control, mask-wearing, social distancing at business and governmental venues.
- Workplaces and offices should follow the epidemic prevention regulations of “the Guidelines for Enterprise Continuing Operations”, implement individual and workplace health management, start the enterprise continuing operation measures, e.g. working in separate offices, remotely online working or flexible working hours).
- Dining venues should follow the real name registration, social distancing and dividers using measures, especially those who cannot comply take-out policies.
- Weddings and funerals ceremonies should follow the real name registration, social distancing and enhanced sanitization and disinfection.
- Public venues and transportations should enhance sanitization and disinfection.
- Medical system contingency plans: enlarge setting dedicated wards, flow control, patient wards segregation, outdoor testing stands, enhance testing capacity including pick-checking and screening, widespread using telemedical treatment on outpatient, and proactively setup of designated hospitals.
