Tainan City Enters Quasi-Level-3 Alert; New Disease Prevention and Control Measures Are Announced for All Citizens

Tainan City announced COVID19 Quasi-Level-3 alert. All citizens must strictly obey the following disease prevention and control measures.

 

  1. All citizens must wear masks at all times in the outdoors, and avoid unnecessary movement, gatherings, or activities.
  2. Shut down all leisure and entertainment venues between May 15 to May 28. For other venues that are not restricted, all visitors must follow real-name registration and flow-control measures.
  3. Schools:
    1. Elementary and junior high school campuses, including sport fields and stadiums, are closed from the public.
    2. Students and school faculties entering campuses are required to follow temperature-taking and hand disinfection measures.
    3. Graduation ceremony should go small and virtual; It must practice mask-wearing, hand disinfection, and real-name registration; only students can attend, no parents or guests are allowed. 
    4. Cancel graduation trips.
    5. For ninth-grade and twelfth-grade students, if there is personal need due to disease prevention and their parents agree, they may take a leave of absence from school.
  4. Public Offices
    1. The two Municipal Centers are only opened to city government employees and meeting attendants. Citizens who need to visit the City Hall for business, for Yonghua Municipal Center please up to the second-floor hallway, for Minzhi Municipal Center please go to the front yard, where set up the joint-service counters. Please wear mask at all times.
    2. All District Offices, Household Registration Offices, and Mortuary Service Offices only open a designated area for visitors, implementing flow-control, and practicing social-distance by making checkerboard seating arrangements. 
    3. Funerals in Mortuary Service Offices should be kept smaller in scale and shorter in time, and implement mask-wearing, real-name registration, temperature-taking, and other disease prevention and control measures.  
  5. Shopping districts, wet markets, and night markets: Require mask-wearing at all times, prohibit food tasting, dining-in, and eating-while-walking; only take-out is allowed. 
  6. Shops and department stores: Implement real-name registration, alcohol disinfection, entry-and-exit control, and temperature-taking measures. 
  7. Restaurants and food courts: Install compartments at dining areas, prohibit food tasting, and implement real-name registration.
  8. Community care stations: Provide take-home meals instead of on-site dining service; implement enhanced thorough disinfection at these locations; ensure temperature-taking and real-name registration. 
  9. Sports events and athletic games: Sports events should be held closed-door as principle; suspend all sports events that gather more than 100 people indoors or 500 people outdoors.
  10. Religious activities: Suspend all pilgrimages and processions or associated with temples or churches. Other events should ensure real-name registration and social-distancing.
  11. Medical and long-term care institutions: Suspend visiting the sick or patient to hospitals, long-term care institutions, and clinics with in-patient cares; only one person can accompany one patient is allowed, and all persons must follow the real-name registration measures.
