Tainan City Government invited foreign singers Martin Hurkens and Mary-Jess to visit Tainan and take part in this year’s Christmas and New Year celebrations. Mayor Huang Wei-che recommended the two to visit Guanziling Hot Springs in Baihe District, a favorite destination for locals in the winter, where they can enjoy the hot springs along with the gorgeous scenery and mouth-watering earth pot chicken.
Mayor Huang stated that Guanziling is famous for its unique mud springs and delicious earth pot chicken, making it an ideal destination for a winter daytrip. Mayor Huang also mentioned that the municipal government has launched the Guanziling Hot Springs New Year’s Eve Trilogy event, which includes a hot spring experience while watching the sunset, a banquet, and a virtual concert. In addition to inviting Hurkens and Mary-Jess to participate in this event, the mayor also encouraged locals and foreigners alike to join the fun.
Other than experiencing Guanziling’s famous mud springs and renowned earth pot chicken on the 14th, Hurkens and Mary-Jess also visited level 3 national monument Huoshan Biyun Temple, where they appreciated the beauty of Southern Min style temple architecture and the exquisite view in the mountains. As avid coffee fans, the two also tried Dongshan coffee, which is known for being aromatic and smooth. Having enjoyed a day of absolute relaxation, Hurkens and Mary-Jess exclaimed at how blessed Tainan’s residents are.
