Smart City AI Knowledge Management System, Jointly Developed by Phison Electronics and Tainan City Government, Showcased at NVIDIA GTC 2026

To advance Tainan’s smart city initiatives, the Tainan City Government partnered with Phison Electronics Corp. to develop a new generation of AI applications tailored to the needs of urban governance through advanced generative AI technology. The localized deployment of high-performance AI systems enables artificial intelligence to take part in supporting municipal services and enhancing citizens’ daily lives. This jointly developed AI knowledge management system was displayed at NVIDIA GTC 2026, held in California, showcasing Tainan’s innovations in smart city AI applications.

Tainan City Government leveraged aiDAPTIV technology, independently developed by Phison Electronics, to build a new-gen AI knowledge management system. This solution is capable of rapidly organizing, searching, and conducting AI inference across massive amounts of administrative data, knowledge documents, and cross-bureau information within the city government, significantly improving internal knowledge circulation efficiency and decision-making support capabilities.

At the NVIDIA GTC, a globally recognized benchmark event in AI technology, Phison Electronics presented its collaboration with the Tainan City Government as part of its smart city solutions showcase. With Phison’s aiDAPTIV technology, the system supports on-premises deployment to ensure data security and autonomy, an essential requirement for government agencies and public services that place a high priority on information protection.

Compared with conventional AI query systems, this collaborative AI knowledge management system can improve overall performance by up to tenfold or more in practical applications. Moreover, its low construction costs and scalable deployment structure make it possible to extend AI from a limited set of high-cost use cases to a broad range of applications, including municipal services, citizen inquiries, administrative coordination, and public governance.

The Tainan City Government stated that it will continue to collaborate with industry partners to promote more AI-driven innovations so that smart technology can better serve the public and make the urban governance model smarter, more efficient, and more responsive.
