On Mar. 9, Tainan City Government announced two newly confirmed cases who are both working in a hospital.
Case #21083 is a male in his thirties living in Donshang District. He received three doses of COVID-19 vaccination and has a history of chronic cough and sore throat. On Mar. 7, as patients in the hospital where he works were confirmed as COVID-19 cases, he received a rapid test screening with a positive result. He then was confirmed as COVID-19 case through PCR test with a Ct value of 17.88 on Mar. 8, while his sore throat was intensified.
Case #21084 is a female in her thirties living in Jiali District. She received two doses of COVID-19 vaccination. On Mar. 7, she started to experience a running nose, sore throat, muscle soreness, fever and general malaise; she also received a rapid test screening with a positive result, as patients in the hospital where she works were confirmed as COVID-19 cases. She then was confirmed as COVID-19 case through PCR test with a Ct value of 18.4 on Mar. 8, while her sore throat was intensified.
Above-mentioned cases’ footprints were listed in the attachment. Places where they visited have all been cleaned and disinfected.
