Global semiconductor lithography technology leader ASML Holding held the opening ceremony for their EUV Training Center on August 20. Located in Southern Taiwan Science Park with an area of 1,625 square meters, the Training Center features live EUV machine modules and comprehensive training courses (including technical theory courses and clean room actual machine operation training), and can train up to 360 EUV engineers every year for ASML and its clients. This new addition will provide more complete services for Taiwan's semiconductor industry.
Mayor Huang Wei-che instructed the government team to speed up related administration procedures and site related issues to help ASML complete future expansions faster. The government is also taking measures to attract more high-tech talents and gradually transform Tainan into a pleasant livable city that has both new technologies and old cultural features.
ASML's EUV Training Center will effectively stimulate local semiconductor related industries and initiate upgrades in the overall supply chain. ASML is an important strategic partner of Taiwan's semiconductor industry and clients, and the company currently has client support offices and factories in Tainan.
