Tainan's Mountain Line & Museum Bus Route Begins Service on June 25. Huang Wei-che Invites All to Come Explore Tainan

Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-che hosted a press conference on June 19 at Shanshang Garden and Old Waterworks Museum to promote the NT 50 day-pass for the Taiwan Tourist Shuttle - Mountain Line & Museum Route. With this pass, travelers can enjoy unlimited rides on this route within the day of purchase and get additional discounts on museum admissions. The Mayor encouraged the public to snatch up the good deal quick.

The Mayor went on to explain that the Mountain Line & Museum Route is a tourist transport planned by the city government to shuttle visitors between Zuojhen Fossil Park, Shanshang Garden and Old Waterworks Museum, and Danei District Tainan Astronomical Education Area. He pointed out that these are great holiday destinations for families as the museums offer exhibitions on humanities, history, and natural sciences. In addition, visitors with a valid Route pass (or proof of purchase) can receive admission discounts or a small gift at the museum entrances. After mentioning all these benefits, Huang encouraged the public to get a day-pass and enjoy an informative day at the museums.

Bureau of Transportation Director-General Wang Ming-Te reminded the public that the Mountain Line & Museum Route only runs on holidays. In addition to unlimited rides on the Route within the day of purchase, passengers can also ride the Green and Orange Lines for free to other mountain zone destinations such as Yujing, Nanxi, Zuozhen, Xinhua, Shanhua, and Danei. This deal may especially appeal to backpackers.
