In addition to wishing the event a great success, the Mayor gifted the visitors with local in-season Irwin mangoes and invited Director Euba to visit Tainan often and experience the ancient capital. Mayor Huang also invited Director Euba and Director Shi to take part in Tainan City’s 400th Anniversary Commemoration, which will be held in 2024.

Director Euba remarked that he is honored to be able to work with Chimei Museum to celebrate the National Day of Spain with the citizens in Tainan and looks forward to greeting the Mayor at the events. The Director also mentioned that Tainan’s mangoes are delicious and he is deeply impressed by the city’s excellent produce.

The National Day of Spain commemorates Columbus’ discovery of the Americas for Spain on October 12, 1492. In collaboration with Chi Mei Museum, this year the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Taipei will host the celebration event, titled “SPAIN at the CHI MEI”, at the museum in October. The celebration will feature a series of activities including concerts and special exhibitions.
