On Apr. 8, Tainan City Government announced 5 newly confirmed cases who all had same footprints as other confirmed.
Case #25976, a boy less than five years old living in Yongkang District, is the son of Case #25977 and #26151. He started to experience a cough and running nose on Apr. 5 and was tested positive in a hospital with a Ct value of 12.3. cases during travelling to Hualien County.
Case #25977 is a female in her thirties living in Yongkang District who had received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. She had a sore throat on Apr. 5; she then visited a hospital for specimen collection and was confirmed as a COVID-19 case with a Ct value of 21.2 on Apr. 6.
Case #26151 is a male in his forties living in Yongkang District who had received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. On Apr. 6, he started to feel a sore throat and visited a hospital for specimen collection. He was tested positive with a Ct value of 15.2.
Case #26152 is a male in his twenties living in Guiren District with a completion of two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. He started to experience a sore throat on Apr. 6. He conducted a rapid test required by his company and received a positive result on Apr. 7; he then visited to a hospital and was confirmed as a COVID-19 case with a Ct value of 13.14 after receiving specimen collection.
Case #26153 is a male in his thirties living in Guiren District who had received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. He had a fever on Apr. 7 and then visited a hospital for specimen collection; he was confirmed as a COVID-19 case with a Ct value of 15.4.
Footprints of the above-mentioned cases were listed in the attachment. The city government urges citizens who had visited the same place as these cases did to acquire a COVID-19 home-test kit with the ID card from any of 37 district health stations in Tainan City on Apr. 8 (13:30-17:30) and Apr. 9 (14:00-17:00); please be sure to report the test result within 24 hours after acquisition.
