Descriptions of Two Newly Confirmed Cases from New Taipei City: Case #23384, #23398

On Mar. 31, Tainan City Government announced footprints of two confirmed cases from New Taipei City.

Case #23384 is a female in her thirties from New Taipei City. She arrived Tainan in the afternoon of Mar. 25 by THSR No. 661 from Nangang station and she stayed in Yongkang district for two nights; she left Tainan in the afternoon of Mar. 27 by North bound THSR No. 830 to Taoyuan (she had stayed in Tainan from Mar. 25-27). On, Mar. 29, she started to experience a runny nose and sore throat; she was then confirmed as a COVID-19 case with a Ct value of 14.53 after her specimen collection.

Case #23398 is a female in her seventies from New Taipei City. She also arrived Tainan in the afternoon of Mar. 25 by THSR and left Tainan by North bound THSR in the afternoon of Mar. 27. On Mar. 29, she started to experience a runny nose, cough and itchy throat; she was confirmed as a COVID-19 case with a Ct value of 13 on Mar. 30.

Their footprints in Tainan City were listed in the attachment. The city government urges citizens who had visited same places as these cases did to acquire a home-test kit from any of 37 district health stations in Tainan on Mar. 31 (before 17:30) or Apr. 1 (08:00-12:00, 13:30-17:30); and please report your test result back within 24 hours.
